Software Engineer-OSM
The role:
Join DSI's corporate Dev team as a software engineer supporting Off-Site Manufacturing (OSM). Basedat corporate, you will build and support web applications that help OSM teams manage scheduling, materials, capacity, and other operational work. You will work primarily with OSM project managers. Lane managers and shop leaders will provideoperational context, feedback, and validation. You will take ideas and prototypes through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support. This is a core software-engineering role withproduction ownership—not a help-desk or departmental-automation position. Travel is limited and purposeful. Expect more shop time during onboarding if useful; after that, travel isoccasional and driven by the work.
What You'll Do:
Partner with OSM project managers to understand needs, define outcomes, and shape practicalsolutions. Consult lane managers and shop leaders when their operational knowledge is needed. Administer the OSM GitHub organization, and own the standards, guardrails, and review process thatlet domain experts contribute safely to the platform. Build and improve production web applications, primarily in TypeScript. Turn early concepts and prototypes into secure, maintainable software that people can rely on. Use the centralized data platform and the databases, APIs, and MCPs provided by the core team topower those applications. Own OSM application delivery and maintenance: design, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, documentation, user support, and issue triage. Coordinate with the help desk and coreplatform teams when issues cross system boundaries. Work with the corporate Dev team on architecture, shared components, engineering standards, andreusable solutions. Validate software with users and improve it based on evidence and feedback.
