Automation Engineer
We are supporting a major pharmaceutical manufacturing expansion program and are seeking experienced Automation Leads to support the design and delivery of new GMP manufacturing facilities.This is a high impact role providing automation process design support within a complex regulated environment. Successful candidates will work alongside project teams, system integrators, engineering partners, and equipment vendors to develop and deliver automation solutions across critical manufacturing workstreams.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport onboarding and technical integration of system integrator partners throughout project executionReview technical proposals, project documentation, and engineering deliverables to ensure alignment with project standards and requirementsSupport detailed design activities across automation, controls, and manufacturing systemsReview recipe functional specifications, automation narratives, and hardware design specificationsCollaborate with equipment OEMs and skid vendors to align automation strategies and interfacesLead and participate in control panel, architecture, and system design reviewsSupport development of automation standards, control philosophies, and integration strategiesCoordinate hardware and software integration activities across manufacturing equipment, process systems, and enterprise platformsTechnical RequirementsFull stack automation background with capability to operate across hardware, software, controls, and integration activitiesExperience supporting pharmaceutical, biotech, or GMP manufacturing capital projects, ideally greenfield or large expansion programsHands-on experience with:Hardware and software integrationControl panel design and architecture reviewsDCS systems and process automation environmentsIT/OT integration and manufacturing data flowsS88 batch standards and recipe design principlesManufacturing system architecture developmentTechnology Experience:• Siemens PCS7 DCS platform • Siemens Opcenter MES / manufacturing systems • Industrial networks and integration architectures • Process control systems within GMP manufacturing environments
