BackProject Manager III#WA-818Multiple LocationsApplyXFacebookLinkedInEmailCopyCareer DescriptionWe are looking for a Structural Steel Construction Project Manager with strong steel fabrication/structural industry experience to join our team.Position will have a hybrid schedule, reporting to one of our manufacturing facilities.Buckeye, AZ Jacksonville, FL Peru, ILPoint of Rocks, MDSouth Plainfield, NJWashington, MOJOB SUMMARY:Serves as the primary point of contact for customers for orders once they are handed off from sales.Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction whilemaintainingshop production targets, maximizing profitability for each order, and being consistent with our corporate mission,valuesand departmentobjectives.ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:AAAResponsible for about 40 projects totaling about 20,000 tons.AAAAAAAttend morning production meetings.AAABe a mentor and resource for PM team members' questions. Help others tocome up withalternative solutions to issues through experience.AAAUnderstand productioncapacitiesof the plant(s) and selectappropriate fabricationand delivery slots for sizeable projectstonot overload/underutilize the shop.AAAVisualize erection sequence, connection fit up and site constraints from customer interactions.AAAIdentifypotential job specific limitations of theshop orunderstand the extra time it may take to produce the project.AAAInitiate and lead Kick off meetings when needed and ensure that follow-ups are completed.AAARead, effectively communicate, and answer questions about joist and deck erection plans / calculations.AAADetermineif there will be a need for subcontracting (galvanization, bending, rolling.)AAA Establish and communicate a timeline needed for extra prep.AAAIdentifyand select theoptimumsubcontractor by price,location,and overall expense.AAACoordinate every aspect of the project:AAA Ensurethat the project meets all specifications, shop drawings, material, fabrication schedule and deliveries.AAAUnderstand and execute progress billing needs for both CSC and our customers. Or 10 years' steel fabrication background in the structural industry in lieu of degree.Extensive background in steel fabrication is required.Effective manage time skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills and ability to handle difficult conversations.Must be able to schedule events, programs, and activities.Strong problem solving skills and the ability to analyze information, evaluate results to choose the best solution.Able to work independently and with a team.Strong leadership and mentoring skills, willingness to lead, take charge, offer suggestions and direction.Working knowledge using Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and D365.Ability to travel trainings, jobsite visits, and conventions.
