You will be working in a fast-paced, exciting environment and must be able to manage large crowds while maintaining a high level of professionalism and quality. We're looking for versatile team players who want to fill a different task every day, from coffee service to coat check and everything in between. If you are looking to take your first steps into events, this is the job for you!What you'll doManage the event team for a variety of styles of eventGreet guests as soon as they walk through the doorMaintain a neat, organized front-of-house environmentShow guests to their designated area and explain our policies & proceduresAssist with opening/closing tasks and side work, including event set up.Maintain safety and food & beverage quality standardsKeep guests happy and handle complaints appropriatelyBuild a rapport with our guests and vendorsBrainstorm ideas to enhance the guest experienceMaintain a positive image of the Pirate Ventures brand at all timesWorking with Building Managers, execute first-class eventsCommunicate event details provided by the marketing and operations teams to ensure our event are run effectively and efficientlyQualifications:Experience in private events or banquetsCommitment to and alignment with the company's core valuesBe a relentless perfectionist with a positive attitude who has a high level of attention to mastering the minutia and competitive spiritAbility to communicate effectively with guestsKeen understanding that a positive guest experience is imperative to successWell-organizedAbility to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of timeAbility to lift and carry up to 35 pounds for short periods of time
