This position requires flexibility and adaptability to work varying shifts and respond promptly to staffing needs, supporting kitchen operations without a fixed schedule. The Cook PRN collaborates closely with kitchen staff to maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and adherence to food safety regulations are paramount to guarantee customer satisfaction and compliance with health standards. Ultimately, this role contributes to the overall dining experience by consistently producing delicious and well-prepared meals whenever called upon.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience working as a cook or in a similar food preparation role.Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks.Preferred Qualifications:Culinary certification or formal training in cooking.Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.Familiarity with specialized dietary requirements and menu accommodations.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Knowledge of inventory management and portion control.Responsibilities:Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards.Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies to maintain freshness and minimize waste.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment and workstations.Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.Collaborate with kitchen team members to manage workload and ensure timely meal service.Adapt to varying schedules and provide coverage during peak times or staff shortages.Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to management as necessary.
