Life Sciences Account Executive - Digital Pathology (NE)
OverviewA rapidly growing, innovation-driven life sciences organization is seeking a Account Executive to drive revenue growth across the New England region. This individual will focus on selling advanced histology and digital pathology services to biotech, pharmaceutical, and academic research clients.This is a highly consultative, field-based role requiring strong technical fluency, a proactive sales mindset, and the ability to build long-term partnerships within the research community.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business DevelopmentDrive territory growth through targeted prospecting, outreach, and in-person client engagementDevelop new business across biotech, pharmaceutical, and academic accountsPresent service offerings, negotiate agreements, and close complex dealsMaintain a strong pipeline and consistently achieve sales targetsExpand existing accounts by identifying upsell opportunities and increasing project scopeClient Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain relationships with researchers, principal investigators (PIs), and lab leadershipProvide consultative support to align services with client research needsDeliver a high level of responsiveness and problem-solving to drive long-term partnershipsMarket Development & Industry PresenceRepresent the organization at scientific conferences, trade shows, and industry eventsIdentify emerging trends and opportunities within biomedical research and pathology servicesMonitor competitive landscape to inform territory strategyStrategy, Reporting & CollaborationTrack and analyze sales performance, pipeline activity, and market trendsPartner cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and laboratory teamsSupport scoping, pricing, and execution of complex service agreements (SOWs)Ensure consistent messaging and brand representation across all client interactionsRequired Qualifications5–10 years of life sciences sales experience (preferably laboratory, histology, or pathology services)Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or a related fieldProven track record of success in a field-based, quota-driven sales roleStrong understanding of histology, specimen processing, and pathology workflowsDemonstrated ability to prospect, build pipeline, and close new businessWillingness to travel throughout the New England territoryPreferred QualificationsExperience selling into biotech, pharmaceutical, or academic research environmentsHands-on laboratory or research experience in biomedical sciencesFamiliarity with digital pathology and image analysis technologiesEstablished network within life sciences research communitiesKnowledge of advanced histology techniques (e.g., IHC, immunofluorescence, image analysis, etc.)Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary plus performance-based incentivesComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company participationFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Full reimbursement for travel and client-related expensesAdditional team and company-sponsored eventsJ-18808-Ljbffr
