Strong prospecting instincts, a high-volume pipeline mindset, and a consultative approach to research clients are essential. Seeking a Senior Sales Executive to help biotech, pharmaceutical, and academic research organizations modernize pathology workflows through digital pathology and histology laboratory services.Key Responsibilities:Build territory revenue through targeted prospecting, cold outreach, email, and in-person meetingsDevelop new business across biotech, pharmaceutical, and academic accountsMeet with key stakeholders to present services, negotiate agreements, and close dealsMaintain a strong pipeline and consistently hit quarterly and annual territory goalsUpsell additional services to existing accounts to grow project scope and account valueWork with urgency and influence internal and external partners to deliver outcomesBuild long-term relationships with researchers, PIs, and lab decision-makersExpand the customer base through responsive service and problem-solving supportGrow client partnerships with measurable value over timeRepresent company at trade shows, scientific conferences, and industry eventsIdentify emerging opportunities in biomedical research and pathology servicesMonitor competitor offerings, pricing, and positioning to inform sales strategyAnalyze sales performance against strategy, quotas, and plans to optimize resultsPartner with marketing on promotional activity across print, digital, and direct channelsMaintain consistent brand representation across customer touchpointsPrepare sales reports covering volume, pipeline, market trends, and growth opportunitiesWork with marketing, operations, and lab teams to align on service offerings, pricing, and deliveryPartner with project managers to scope, negotiate, and close complex SOWsSupport company goals around profitability, market share, and strategic growthRequirements:Required Qualifications:5 to 10 years of life sciences sales experience, preferably in histology or pathology servicesBachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or marketingProven field-based sales track record with regular travel to customer locationsStrong understanding of specimen collection, histology processing, and pathology workflowsAbility to run high-volume prospecting and lead generation through outreach and in-person meetingsWillingness to travel within the territory and support other regions as neededPreferred Qualifications:5+ years selling laboratory or CRO services to academia, biotech, or pharmaceutical clients5+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in biomedical researchExperience with glass slide digitization and digital pathology servicesEstablished network across biotech, pharma, and academic research communitiesFamiliarity with translational research and tissue-based assay developmentLives in or can relocate to the Boston areaWorking knowledge of advanced histology techniques, including special stains, IHC, immunofluorescence, multi-omics tissue analysis, image analysis, and pathology consultations
