The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in C&I lending, while also maintaining exposure to CRE and multifamily transactions. This is a highly visible role working closely with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, and senior lending leadership to structure, analyze, and support commercial loan opportunities. Key Responsibilities Underwrite and analyze new and existing commercial credit requests with a strong focus on Commercial & Industrial lending Evaluate borrower financial performance, cash flow, leverage, collateral, guarantor strength, and overall credit risk Prepare detailed credit presentations, financial spreads, projections, covenant analysis, and sensitivity testing Analyze supporting due diligence materials including appraisals, environmental reports, inspections, borrowing base certificates, and third-party reviews Partner closely with Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers to gather required information and recommend appropriate deal structures Manage multiple credit requests simultaneously while maintaining strong turnaround times and service levels Conduct annual reviews and ongoing monitoring of existing commercial relationships Identify policy exceptions and ensure proper approval and documentation processes are followed Monitor and test loan covenants and borrower performance trends Participate in client meetings and joint calling efforts when needed Assist with mentoring junior analysts and contribute to cross-training initiatives within the department Maintain strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, lending policy, and credit risk standards Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Minimum 5 years of recent commercial credit underwriting experience within a banking environment Strong experience underwriting Commercial & Industrial (C&I) transactions is required Experience with Commercial Real Estate and Multifamily lending preferred Ability to analyze complex borrower structures and interpret financial statements with accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with financial spreading and credit analysis tools Candidates must be comfortable presenting sample C&I and CRE transactions during the interview process Evidence of academic preparation or related coursework may be required
