Credit Professional OpportunityWe're looking for a dynamic, adaptable, and highly capable Credit Professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can juggle multiple responsibilities, and serves as a true utility player within the credit function.
This is a hands-on, wide-ranging role that touches nearly every aspect of the credit process: from supporting underwriting and loan production to managing audits, overseeing construction draws, editing credit reports, organizing meetings, and assembling polished loan presentation packages. No two days will be the same and that's exactly how you like it.
You'll work directly with the Head of Credit Administration and serve as a critical right hand in keeping the department running smoothly, effectively, and in alignment with risk and business objectives.
This is not just another credit role. You'll be central to how the credit department operates the go-to resource for solving problems, filling gaps, and keeping things moving. Utility Team PlayerStep in wherever needed across credit operations, underwriting, and portfolio support.
Take ownership of varied, high-impact projects big and small and follow them through to completion.
Bridge the gap between strategy and execution, helping to ensure day-to-day activities align with departmental goals.
Loan Presentation Assembly & Credit Report EditingAssemble loan presentation packages for Credit Committee and executive review.
Proofread and polish credit memoranda for accuracy, consistency, and impact.
Distribute finalized credit reports and materials to internal stakeholders and committee members.
Meeting Coordination & DocumentationOrganize and schedule Credit Committee and credit-related meetings.
Prepare meeting agendas, gather documentation, and ensure participants are fully briefed.
Take detailed, actionable meeting minutes and track follow-ups and approvals.
Portfolio & Credit SupportHelp monitor the health and performance of the loan portfolio.
Assist in data analysis, portfolio reviews, and stress testing.
Coordinate credit audits and loan review activities, supporting prep and follow-up actions.
Reporting & Process ImprovementsGenerate and refine credit and portfolio reports for management and board committees.
Identify ways to streamline workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and improve reporting accuracy.
Support credit technology or MIS system enhancements and rollouts.
Other DutiesOther duties as assigned.
Skills/AbilitiesStrong organizational, communication, and writing skills.
A sharp eye for detail.
Able to manage multiple priorities.
Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and credit systems (e.g., JackHenry, Abrigo, etc.).
Flexible, proactive, and unafraid to roll up your sleeves. You see problems as opportunities and adapt easily to change.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in an office setting, the opportunity to telework is not available. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer.
Physical DemandsThis position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.
TravelLimited local travel may be required for this position.
Education and ExperienceRequires at least 5 years experience in credit administration, commercial underwriting, or loan operations.
Requires Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
MBA or similar degree is preferred.
Requires strong understanding of credit policy, risk ratings, and loan documentation.
