Job DescriptionKey Areas of Responsibility:Operation and Maintenance of gas fueled power plant, consisting of multiple spark ignition reciprocating engines as well as all associated auxiliary equipmentComply with all workplace, federal, state and OSHA safety guidelines and obligationsPerform regular inspections and maintenance of fixed plant equipment, including engines, generators and other auxiliary equipment such as pumps, chillers, valves etc.Perform regular inspections and maintenance of gas processing equipment, including compressors, aftercoolers, filtration vessels, dehydration skids, and the associated controls, gages and valves that support their operationAdministrative duties including documenting and reporting equipment maintenance, operation and conditionPerform fault-finding, repairs and reporting of electrical and mechanical systemsOperation of advanced instrumentation and process control systemsAvailable for on-call duties remaining within 45 minutes of the power station during these hoursActively ensure own health and safety and the health and safety of others through understanding and implementing workplace health and safety obligationsSupport and comply with Company policies and procedures as advised and documented in the Company's employment policies as amended from time to time and as directed by Managers/SupervisorsIn addition to the duties set out above, the Operator may be expected to perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the CompanyQualifications and Experience:Current driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to work weekends, holidays and on-call hoursMaintenance, mechanical or electrical experience and/or suitable backgroundBasic computer operation including the use of Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to collect and interpret data and write clear, accurate reports and specificationsEffective communication skills both verbal and writtenExperience with Gas and or Diesel reciprocating enginesExperience with Caterpillar reciprocating enginesExperience with LFG Power Generation SystemsExperience with LFG extraction and use systems and equipmentAnalytical and trouble shooting skills in either mechanical and electrical systemsAbility to perform minor repairs and overhaul mechanical & electrical equipmentFamiliarity with the operation of instrumentation and process control equipment and systemsAbility to work autonomously and self-motivate in a multi-skilled work environmentThe work is physical in nature.
