TURQUOISE PLACE ACTIVITIES MANAGERThe Activities Supervisor is responsible in maintaining daily operations in the Activities department to include training and supervising of staff; creating, coordinating, scheduling, and facilitating all activities/events and providing excellent guest service. The position also oversees the Cabana 8 retail space.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Responsible for creating, scheduling, facilitation of activities to include booking ofentertainment. Work with Marketing to update Resort Guide and website weekly. Ensure daily operating procedures are followed by team members. Coordinate and order supplies, book entertainment, and assist with retail inventory. Provide fun, creative and memory making events for guests and owners Maintain positive work environment to facilitate excellent service. Oversee Cabana 8 to include merchandising, supervision of staff, cleanliness of store. Insure proper cash/check handling procedures are followed and daily reports are completed. Assist management in producing annual budget and monitor budget monthly for accurateperformance. Perform other tasks/duties as assigned.REQUIRED SKILLS:Excellent verbal and written communication skills for regular interaction with guests and team membersExcellent customer service skillsStrong knowledge of local community, area and regionStrong problem resolution skillsAbility to lead and motivate team membersRecreation or Hospitality degree, preferred or 1 year minimum Recreation experienceMinimum Of 1 Year Of Supervisory/management ExperienceSolid knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn property-specific programsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to work during entire shift outside in the heat/cold or inclement weatherAbility to reach, bend, crouch, kneel and stoopAbility to carry 25 pounds several times during a shift over a medium distanceAbility to stand/walk for a full shift
