RF Engineer

Job Description A confidential, industry-leading RF/microwave manufacturer is looking for an experienced RF Amplifier Design Engineer to design, develop, and test low noise and medium power amplifiers using both discrete transistor and MMIC technologies. You'll work across hybrid and surface-mount designs, run linear and nonlinear simulations, support production, and contribute directly to new product development. This is a hands-on engineering role with real visibility inside the organization.If you would like to know a bit more about this opportunity, or are considering applying, then please read the following job information.What You'll DoDesign, develop, and test discrete and MMIC-based low noise/medium-power amplifiersBuild new RF and microwave circuits, components, and productsPerform linear and nonlinear simulations for active and passive circuitsDefine specs for microwave components and subassembliesSupport high-reliability testing and screening requirementsGenerate design reviews, test reports, and documentationWork with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient build processesEstimate project schedules, track engineering labor, and support technical proposalsWhat You NeedBachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years experience, or Master's with 2+At least 2 years designing and simulating low noise amplifiersExperience designing passive RF/microwave components (couplers, dividers, attenuators)Experience designing for manufacturability and managing engineering projectsProficient with linear CAE tools plus exposure to nonlinear CAEHands-on lab/test experience: VNAs, noise figure analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generatorsAbility to work under a microscope in a cleanroom environmentFamiliarity with semiconductor devices like GaAs and GaNStrong communication skillsMust be able to obtain a Secret-level security xhyhwjd clearancePreferred ExperienceFamiliarity with MIL-specs: MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-STD-202Experience aligning and tuning fine-pitch circuits under a microscopeKnowledge of oscillator, synthesizer, PIN-diode, and filter designSystem-level cascade and spur analysisProficiency with Keysight ADS, RFPro, Ansys HFSS, and EM simulation toolsCAD familiarity: AutoCAD, InventorDesign/test experience up to 26 GHz or higher (40 GHz preferred)Hybrid chip-and-wire and PCB SMT manufacturing exposureWire bonding experience
