Join Us as an Assistant Compliance & Audit Specialist
Supports organizational compliance efforts through routine audits, documentation review, tracking corrective actions, and assisting with quality assurance processes. This role focuses on monitoring documentation accuracy, identifying compliance concerns, and supporting departments in maintaining adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Do
Assist in maintaining NoteGuard AI rules to support session note review requirements
Audit session notes routinely and identify documentation needing correction
Track session note amendments and follow up to ensure timely resolution
Use CentralReach tasks to monitor documentation corrections and audit completion
Prepare regular summaries of documentation audit findings for leadership review
Identify recurring documentation issues and suggest process improvements
Support preparation of documentation for internal and external audits
Escalate identified compliance concerns to Compliance leadership as appropriate
Collaborate with clinical, billing, and administrative teams to resolve documentation issues
Conduct assigned audits of operational, billing, and documentation processes using established audit tools
Track corrective action items and maintain follow-up logs
Assist with staff reminders and basic training support related to documentation standards and compliance requirements
Monitor incident reporting submissions and elevate concerns for leadership review
Perform exclusion screenings and maintain screening records
Support medical records release tracking and documentation compliance
Review policies for formatting, version control, and update tracking
Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare, education, business administration, or related field preferred
1 year of experience in auditing, quality assurance, compliance support, or administrative review functions in an ABA setting
2 years of experience as Registered Behavior Technician preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in data tracking, reporting, and documentation systems
Work Location & Hours
This role is completed in a hybrid work setting. That means 2 to 4 days per month on site at one of our NJ EI Centers located in Newark, Voorhees, Clifton or Jackson. Core hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Reasonable Pay Estimate
A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 per year. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and experience equity.
