Summary Of JobThis role seamlessly navigates between the details and the big picture, playing a critical role within Accounting and Finance. The FP&A Manager will support the Senior FP&A Manager in identifying and implementing key changes within the FP&A processes, including supporting the Company’s continued transition to Workday Adaptive Planning. The FP&A Manager will provide guidance and training to the FP&A Analysts. This role will work closely with Accounting and Procurement in driving higher efficiency and effectiveness in the Company’s budget control process, while maintaining focus on providing insightful analysis and reporting to provide greater support to the business.Essential Functions (include Without Limitation) Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working closely with department heads to understand and validate financial assumptionsSupport process changes and improvement following the transition to Workday Adaptive PlanningCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and insights, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectivesProvide regular variance analysis and insightful commentary on financial performance to senior management, highlighting key driversAssist in month-end close and reporting, including identifying necessary accruals Create effective business partnerships, managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and provide guidance during unexpected eventsDemonstrate strong Excel skills, including abilities in data cleansing/structuring through use of Power Query and/or advanced Excel techniques Direct supervision of two FP&A Analysts Contribute to a team culture focused on coaching, development and collaboration across the broader organizationParticipate in ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as required, providing analytical support and guidance to achieve desired outcomesPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; advanced degree and/or credentials (CPA and/or MBA) are preferrableRequires 3-5 years of relevant FP&A experience, including supervisory responsibilities; experience in sports & entertainment or live entertainment environment is beneficialAdvanced Excel skills, including Power Query; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Workday Adaptive is preferrableExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insightsWorking understanding of common accounting rules driving the timing/recognition of transactions and the related elements of the P&L, balance sheet and cash flowsStrong communication skills and passion for developing collaborative relationships across all levels and teams to provide an elevated level of service in our fast-paced environment is requiredPossess a strong work ethic and willingness to lead from the front with a team-first mindsetComfortable adjusting working hours to support the broader team in preparation for the race, meet all our key reporting timelines, and to periodically accommodate meetings across time zones (including U.K. colleagues)Highly organized and detailed orientedLas Vegas Grand Prix, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type.
