Accounting Manager

This three-day spectacle attracts a global audience to witness the world's greatest drivers and cars navigate the iconic Las Vegas Strip at breathtaking speeds approaching 200 mph.POSITION OVERVIEWThis role seamlessly navigates between the details and the big picture. This position plays a critical role within accounting and finance. The Accounting Manager will take the lead in supporting internal controls, monthly financial reporting, accounts payable, treasury and intercompany functions. The Accounting Manager will also contribute directly to the budgeting and forecasting processes and support cross-departmental projects and reporting needs.RESPONSIBILITIESDemonstrate strong foundational knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOXContribute to team planning and provide oversight to ensure we meet critical deadlines while always remaining compliant with organizational and professional practices and policiesManage assigned areas of month-end financial close and contribute to timely and error-free reporting by:Administering close schedules to meet key deadlines while continuing to support our team operationally (e.g., vendor invoicing, payments, etc.)Preparing, reviewing and coaching other team members in areas including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, reporting commentary and other supporting schedules relevant to month-end close and reportingMonitoring team progress and maintaining clear communication of status with accounting leadership, parent companies, auditors, and all other key stakeholders Supervise and provide oversight over day-to-day workstreams in areas including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accrual analysis, intercompany transactions, cash and treasury, fixed assets, leases, and support federal and local tax filing requirements Directly collaborate with finance and operational departments on forecasting and variance analysis, including providing sound accounting advice on contracts or transactions based on research, while drawing on prior technical experienceDemonstrate strong Excel skills, including abilities in data cleansing/structuring through use of Power Query and/or advanced Excel techniques Contribute to a team culture focused on coaching, development and collaboration across the broader organizationAssist in documenting and maintaining accounting policies, technical accounting positions or changes in controlsAssist with coordination of internal and external audit requestsOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in accounting or finance; advanced degree and/or credentials (CPA and/or MBA) are preferrableRequires 3-5 years of relevant experience, including supervisory responsibilities; public accounting experience and/or FP&A experience are preferrableAdvanced Excel skills, including Power Query; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Workday Adaptive is preferrableMust have strong foundational US GAAP knowledge; previous experience with IFRS and/or intragroup reporting a plusComfortable researching accounting guidance and tailoring your point of view based on others' needs and level of accounting knowledgeStrong communication skills and passion for developing collaborative relationships across all levels and teams to provide an elevated level of service in our fast-paced environment is requiredPossess a strong work ethic and willingness to lead from the front with a team-first mindsetComfortable adjusting working hours to support the broader team in preparation for the race, meet all our key reporting timelines, and to periodically accommodate meetings across time zones (including U.K. colleagues)Highly organized and detailed orientedOUR VALUESWe drive forward as one team, fueled by our values.
