Cloud DevOps Engineer

Optomi, in partnership with a leading client, is seeking a Senior Software/Cloud Engineer to design and build scalable, high-performance cloud infrastructure and distributed systems. This person will write clean, production-grade code, propose sound architectural approaches, and mentor other engineers while working closely with cross-functional engineering, data, and product teams.Must-Haves:5+ years of software development experience across diverse domainsStrong background in distributed systems and data managementAdvanced Python for backend/infrastructure developmentSolid DevOps skills: CI/CD, Docker, testing, automationHands-on AWS experience (IAM, S3, Kinesis, Lambda, SNS)Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK)Code review and mentorship experienceNice-to-Haves:Statically typed language experience (TypeScript, Java, etc.)Understanding of SQL vs. NoSQL, data partitioning, and warehousingInterest in reusable components and platform-level improvementsLogistics:Contract – 6 months, strong likelihood of extension to 12-18 monthsLocation: Starting on-site in Orlando, FL; open to remote/hub locations if neededPay rate: $70-75/hr
