Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in project planning by accurately assessing costs, preparing bids, and supporting project management efforts. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing advanced estimating tools and industry knowledge to ensure competitive and profitable bids. The Estimator will collaborate closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to deliver precise cost evaluations that align with project scope and company standards. Responsibilities Prepare detailed construction estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements using tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid. Develop accurate pricing for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services while considering market trends and project timelines. Collaborate with project managers and clients during negotiations to establish competitive bids and contract terms. Conduct thorough cost control analyses throughout the project lifecycle to ensure budgets are maintained. Review construction contracts, scope of work, and project schedules to support accurate estimation and planning. Assist in the development of bid proposals, including scope of work documentation and risk assessments. Support project management teams in tracking costs, change orders, and contractual obligations during construction phases. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to estimating. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating with a solid understanding of construction processes and site operations. Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software. Strong negotiation skills to effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Knowledge of construction contracts, cost control strategies, pricing methodologies, and project management principles. Construction site experience is highly desirable to provide practical insight into on-the-ground realities impacting estimates. Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for precise cost evaluation. Effective communication skills for collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders.
