Immediate Start: EM or FM/IM with 3+ Years Experience for Locum Tenens in Central FL We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team on a locum tenens basis. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality emergency care across Free-Standing Emergency Departments (FSEDs) affiliated with our main Level II Trauma Center. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians who value clinical variety, teamwork, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive emergency care to diverse patient populations Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests Perform emergency procedures including Central Access, Arterial Line, Lumbar Puncture, Intubation, Pacing, and Orthopedic stabilization Collaborate closely with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and other healthcare professionals Support APP and resident orientation and training Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7 AM???7 PM / 7 PM???7 AM) with optional 8-hour shifts No call coverage required Qualifications: Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, or Family/Internal Medicine with 3+ years of ER experience Proficient in emergency procedures Strong communication and teamwork skills Facility Details: Main facility: Level II Trauma Center with multiple FSEDs Bed Capacity: Ocala ??? 31; WM ??? 28 Patient Census: ~2 patients per hour at FSEDs Supported by APP coverage and an Emergency Medicine Residency Program Additional Information: Emergency privileges and temporary credentials available Orientation: Conducted during first shadow shift Duration: 1???2 years, with immediate start Join a respected emergency medicine team and make a meaningful impact while enjoying flexible scheduling and a collaborative, high-acuity environment.
