Computer Numerical Control Programmer
Job title: CNC ProgrammerLocation: Eagle, WIWork Arrangement: OnsitePosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support sheet metal manufacturing operations in an onsite role in Eagle, WI. The Programmer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting CNC programs for turret punch, laser cutting, press brake, panel bender, and robotic brake equipment.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with sheet metal blanking and bending processes, rather than traditional CNC machining environments such as milling or turning. Experience with Amada equipment, SAP routings/BOMs, Salvagnini panel benders, and SigmaNest is highly preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate, modify, and maintain CNC programs for turret punch and laser cutting machines.Develop and maintain programs for press brakes, panel benders, and robotic brake systems.Program and support Amada robotic press brake systems.Develop sheet metal blanking programs using Amada VPSS 4i or similar software.Maintain and update manufacturing routings and Bills of Material (BOMs) in SAP.Program Salvagnini panel benders using Stream Bend.Utilize SigmaNest for laser part setup and nesting activities.Create and maintain dimension flats and other manufacturing documentation required for sheet metal processing.Troubleshoot and resolve CNC programming and production-floor issues.Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure programs support efficient and accurate part production.Review part requirements, drawings, and manufacturing processes to determine appropriate programming and processing methods.Identify opportunities to improve programming efficiency, material utilization, quality, and production throughput.Ensure CNC programs and manufacturing data are accurate and aligned with production requirements.Required QualificationsExperience in sheet metal fabrication, blanking, bending, forming, or related manufacturing environments.Strong CNC programming experience focused on sheet metal equipment, rather than primarily lathe, mill, or general machining.Experience creating and troubleshooting programs for CNC sheet metal machinery.Strong understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes and production workflows.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new programming systems and manufacturing software.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Preferred Skills – Priority OrderAmada robotic press brake programmingAmada turret blanking software – VPSS 4iSAP – manufacturing routings and Bills of Material (BOMs)Salvagnini panel bender programming – Stream BendSigmaNest – laser part setup/nesting
