The Programmer is responsible for the creation and maintenance of programs for turret punch, laser cutting machines, and dimension flats.* *
*Responsibilities:*
* Create and maintain programs for press brakes, panel benders, and robotic brakes.
* Maintains and/or changes the floor routings and BOMs required for processing the parts through the sheet metal department.
* Resolve programming issues.
*Required Qualifications: *
Key point: Focus on candidates with experience in sheet metal blanking and bending, not lathe, mill, or general machining programming backgrounds.
Priority skills (in order):
* Amada robot programming for press brakes
* Amada turret blanking software (VPSS 4i)
* SAP experience (routings and bills of material)
* Salvagnini panel bender programming (Stream Bend)
* SigmaNest experience for laser part setup
Additional considerations:
* Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new software quickly.
* Candidates from sheet metal fabrication, OEM manufacturing, metal forming, or related industries are likely a better fit than traditional machining backgrounds.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
