Title: Recovery Operations ManagerLocation: Tonawanda, NYSchedule: DaysCompensation: $80,000 - $105,000/annually, based experienceWhat We Are Looking ForThe Recovery Operations Manager is responsible for the overall profitability of the Recovery Division. This role oversees the efficient management of the used oil collection, processing, and product resale network while ensuring customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in operational performance and profitability.What You Will DoPrepare an operations plan to achieve expense budget forecasts and maintain quality and regulatory compliance.Analyze the recovery process by reviewing monthly budget variance reports.Establish Recovery procedures for the lab, collection, operations, process and administration.Establish industry and governmental contacts relating to used oil and used oil fuels. Participate in trade and regulatory seminars to promote NOCO and recycled fuel usage.Manager deliveries, procedures, permit requirements, product knowledge, market knowledge and government regulations.Develop improvement proposals to improve the efficiencies of Recovery operations.Supervise the truck movement of used oil transfers at all facilities to maximize margins.Responsible for the used oil process facility and transfer site permits, operations and records.Research and implement new processes, procedures or products designed to reduce expenses, increase revenue or improve quality control.Manage the NOCO Quality Assurance Program to ensure that all products sold by NOCO Fuels meet or exceed the minimum requirements of both consumer and governmental expectations.Supervise the NOCO Quality Assurance Lab.Assist the terminal operations in the planning and implementation of special projects relating to environmental compliance and product movement through the terminal.Oversee lubricants, DEF, and Glycol operations, including coordination and material flow.Manage customer communication, ensuring timely and professional service.Establish vendor pricing, maintain vendor relationships, and communicate pricing updates.Develop and maintain service pricing structures.Create and manage the business plan, including budgeting and forecasting.Collaborate closely with Environmental Field Services due to shared resources, personnel, and facilities.Assist with Transportation and Disposal Services.Manage job costing and pricing strategies to ensure sustainable fleet replacement while protecting profitability and margin goals.SupervisionResponsible for general supervision of staff and development; this includes but is not limited to establishing staffing levels, scheduling, training, propane skills assessments, written evaluations, spot checks on quality, payroll and additional pay incentives.Oversee the delivery department to ensure the best use of vehicles and personnel.Work with corporate Human Resources to build and develop talent on the team, understand employees' career goals and provide coaching to get employees ready for advancement.Supervise and manage performance; ensure tasks are appropriately delegated and completed by monitoring performance and holding employees accountable for meeting expectations.Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to senior team members. Ensure that managers hold their teams accountable with feedback to team members, deliver corrective action and discipline when necessary, and document all performance issues.Ensure employees adhere to company policies and legal regulations and engage HR when appropriate. Actively support all corporate policies and standard operating procedures.Manage conflict and crisis; proactively anticipate, manage, and constructively resolve disputes and disagreements.SafetyEnsure conformance of DOT Regulations, and codes/regulations (NFPA)Understand, provide leadership, and communicate safety goals and objectives.Orient, train, and coach all team members on safety requirements, ensure safety compliance and take appropriate action to address safety violations.Establish and maintain a clean, safe work environment complying with company and OSHA standards and perform monthly safety inspections, as assigned.Follow company policies to report and investigate all accidents and near-miss incidents.
