Our differentiated battle management and cyber solutions deliver timely, mission-enabling information and provide superior situational awareness and understanding to protect the U.S. and its global allies.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as Principal Production Operations based out of Baltimore, MD.What You'll Get to Do:Primary manufacturing liaison to program management for development and execution of the manufacturing strategyPrimary product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with internal and external customers to discuss operational aspects of technical, cost, and schedule performanceOversee and manage the product development, manufacturing, test, global supply chain, and mission assurance activities and serve as primary liaison to program managementAssess project and technical issues and develops and drives action plans and resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction goals and objectivesDevelop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers, engineering, suppliers, line/cell managers, and customersCoordinate and leads the preparation of proposals; prepares and reviews all manufacturing Basis of Estimate justifications, creates master production schedules, and coordinates material planning and production scheduling to include all aspects of producing product through deliveryDrive continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunitiesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in Program/Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field; Master's degree with 3 years of work experience in Program/Project management, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field; 9 years of experience in Program/Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field may be considered in lieu of degree requirementExperience acting as a liaison between multiple disciplines to solve complex problems in a timely mannerExperience interpreting engineering drawings and parts listsExperience using SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system with a strong understanding of the MRP (Material Resource Planning) process including dependent requirements and group-to-group transfersExperience with cost, schedule, and/or process improvementExperience with Control Account Management (CAM), EVMS, or comparable financial management systemsExperience MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power PointThe ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance is requiredU.S. citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications:A Current/Active DoD Secret Security ClearanceExperience leading people and/or projects directly or indirectlyExperience following hardware in a production environmentExperience presenting status to executive leadership (Director or VP level)Experience preparing proposals, BOE's and schedulesExperience with strategic coordination across programs, departments, and functionsExperience and ability to incorporate data analytics into decision makingWhat We Can Offer You:Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
