Medical AssistantWe are expanding and just opened a new office in the Citrus Park area off Gunn and the Vets. We need to add to our staff. Our offices are very busy and our Medical Assistant position is not boring. We recently have joined with Tampa General Hospital to provide urology services to the Tampa Bay community so we are expanding and need your help! This is a fast paced position so experience would be helpful. We offer an excellent benefit package, paid time off, and other great perks like a membership to the YMCA!Job Summary:Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient's chartGive instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistantEnsure all related reports, labs and information is filed available in patients' medical records prior to their appointmentKeep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as requiredTake telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy callsTriage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistantsMaintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)Epic experience is always beneficialBilingual English/SpanishWe seek a Medical Assistant that has excellent organizational skills, is skilled at prioritizing tasks, and can communicate effectively, efficiently and in a timely manner with patients. Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections.
