Physician Scientist - Medical Oncology

Job Description Faculty Positions Available: Physician-ScientistsOur organization is excited to announce openings for faculty roles at various ranks (Assistant, Associate, or Professor) for Physician-Scientists, including leadership positions within our team.We are in search of dynamic faculty Physician-Scientists eager to establish an academic and laboratory-based translational research program. This role will involve close collaboration with our established basic, translational, and clinical scientists.Key ResponsibilitiesPrimarily focus on research within a dedicated laboratory space, supported by a generous startup package.Engage in the development, execution, and participation of translating laboratory findings into clinical applications.Collaborate on research initiatives related to blood and marrow transplantation and cellular immunotherapy.Oversee graduate students, research and clinical fellows, residents, and mid-level providers during laboratory, outpatient, and inpatient activities.Our medical center and children's hospital are active participants in numerous solid organ transplant programs, offering various collaborative opportunities in transplant immunology and regenerative medicine for both adults and children.We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative, mentoring, and supportive atmosphere, particularly for recent fellows and junior faculty members.Research FocusThe TCT/Hematologic Malignancies Division is dedicated to pioneering and implementing innovative cell-based and immune therapies, including CAR-T, NK, vaccine, and gene therapies, as well as cell and vector engineering. Our work encompasses transplant immunology and both autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. This research is bolstered by core facilities, laboratory space, the Cancer Center Clinical Trials Unit, a new cGMP and TCT laboratory, and a fully characterized tumor sample repository. Our state-of-the-art Medical Center and Children's Hospital, opened in 2021, are located on the Medical School campus. The TCT program is fully FACT accredited for adult autologous and allogeneic BMT and immune effector cell therapy, offering various FDA-approved and experimental CAR-T therapies and other immune effector cells.QualificationsMD or equivalent international degree.Completion of fellowships in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology; TCT fellowship or equivalent experience preferred.Board eligibility or certification in Internal Medicine, Hematology, or Medical Oncology.Alternatively, completion of fellowships in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or Immunology, with board eligibility or certification in Pediatrics, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, or Immunology.Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a comprehensive salary and benefits package, with academic appointments reflecting experience and qualifications.
