Full-timeDescriptionA Claims Resolution Specialist ensures the outstanding revenue for services provided by home health and hospice agencies is collected and reimbursed appropriately.Hybrid position: 1 day in office in Sandy, 4 days at home.8 hours. Mon-Fri. NO holidays and NO weekends.Responsibilities and DutiesObtaining claim status from insurance plans via phone and/or online portalsReviewing medical insurance claims for resolution and payment in a timely manner for maximum reimbursementAnalyzing remittance advices to ensure accurate and timely posting of rejections, payments, and contractual adjustmentsPosting payments received and adjudicating accountsMaintaining a working knowledge of payer practices and reimbursement methodologiesBecoming a subject matter expert in assigned A/R responsibilitiesResearching, compiling, and responding to documentation requests from insurance carriersEstablishing and maintaining positive working relationships with agenciesAll other duties as assignedRequirementsCompetencies:To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.Proficient in mathematical, verbal, written, and computer skills, as well as reasoning abilityExcellent communication, organization, and follow-up skillsAbility to handle multiple assignments simultaneouslyAttention to detail and the ability to work independentlyJob Qualifications:1 year medical accounts receivable experience required18+ Years of Age1 year knowledge of home health operations preferredPhysical Requirements:Regularly required to walk, sit, stand, bend, reach, lift, and move aboutAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.To perform other duties as required
