The Safety/Security Officer is also responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, visitors, and team members. Must be available weekends/holidays. As a Screener, you will serve as part of a Safety/Security team providing daily health screening before employees enter the workplace. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills. Duties include temperature checks and health screening questions of employees and visitors as they enter the facility.ResponsibilitiesFoot/vehicle patrolling of resort grounds to ensure that areas are secure and free of unauthorized persons and disturbancesFoot patrolling of the interior and perimeter of the hotel's to observe and identify potential safety and security risk or undesirable conditionsEvaluating situations and making logical decisions on how to proceed and direct workAnswering security telephone and respond in a timely mannerAdministering CPR/First AidChecking ID of visitor/employees as necessaryAccessing secured areas for authorized personnelResponding to emergency situations, including medical, security, guest complaints, etcResponding to altercations and investigateChecking for safety hazardsHaving knowledge of hotel and guest room locking systemsCompleting incident/accident reports in a clear and concise mannerConducting investigations relative to property losses, guest and employee accidents and illnesses, crimes against the resortProviding escorts to persons carrying money or other requestsUsing proper radio etiquette at all timesMaintaining and reviewing daily activity logMaintaining confidentiality with respect to guest and employee incidentsQualificationsMust be 21 years of ageValid driver's license is requiredAvailable to work varying days and shifts, including weekendsHigh School diploma or equivalentCurrently possess or have the ability to to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED CertificationPrior law enforcement, EMS, security or military experience preferred but not necessary
