Accounting Policy Senior ManagerCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is seeking an Accounting Policy Senior Manager to join our team in one of the following locations:Illinois: ChicagoMissouri: BerkeleyWashington: SeattleRelocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.This dynamic and highly visible position involves partnering with Boeing's Corporate Development group and other functions across Boeing to provide accounting policy guidance, under United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, for all of the Company’s acquisition, divestiture, and joint venture transactions (Merger and Acquisition (M&A) transactions).The ideal candidate for this position is a leader with strong communication, collaboration, problem solving and project management skills. This position reports to the Director of Accounting Policy located in Chicago, IL.Position Responsibilities:Primary M&A transaction liaison between Boeing's Accounting function and the Corporate Development group, Business Unit Controllers, multiple other functions (tax, IT, etc.), internal & external auditors, and third-party valuation expertsManage and perform the accounting due diligence process and support integration for all M&A transactionsIdentify key accounting risks for M&A transactions and recommend mitigationsProvide accounting policy guidance on such matters including consolidation, purchase price allocation, goodwill impairment testing, equity method accounting, revenue recognition, and inventory valuationCommunicate accounting due diligence results and integration priorities to executive leadershipPrepare technical accounting whitepapers including performing research and coordinating with external auditorsManage relationship with third party valuation experts and preparation of the opening balance sheet for acquisitionsManage goodwill impairment testing processMonitor accounting standard setters and support implementation of new accounting pronouncementsEncourage and motivate employees to identify process improvementsDevelop and strengthen specific knowledge and skills of the accounting teamThis position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
