Machine Room Coordinator

VAL-CO a leader in commercial poultry, egg, and swine production equipment, specializing in world-famous poultry watering and feeding systems, is currently looking for a Machine Room Coordinator- 1st Shift at our Coldwater, Ohio facility. Then VALCO is the company for you!COMPETITIVE WAGES; STARTING PAY DEPENDS ON EXPERIENCEGENEROUS PTO UPON COMPLETION OF 90-DAY PROBATIONARY PERIOD MEDICAL, DENTAL, VISION AND MORE AFTER 90-DAYSResponsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited ToSafely/Properly set up and operate cutting & machining equipment including CNC machines. Lathes, Mills, Drills, Grinders, Gear shapers, CNC Lathe, CNC Mach. Center, cut off saws, cold saws, drill presses, misc. machines, and assembly activities when needed.Meet expectations for efficiency, utilization and quality standards.Ensure all job packets have had time study to determine permanent piece rates and contain all relevant and accurate information.Produce and inspect quality parts as per drawings or blueprints.Monitor the applications and use of perishable tools.Coordinate resources (labor, machines, workstations, etc.) to efficiently meet work demands and customer ordersPlan and distribute job assignmentsCommunicate with other departments to ensure parts are delivered timely and to proper workstationOversee quality and safety standards within departmentTrain and instruct employees on assigned jobs and proper work practice including good housekeepingCheck and/or prepare proper paperwork for finished goods, transfers, timecards, etc. This includes proper utilization of Labor Pod's system. Pick parts, materials and perform set up of jobs.Move finished parts to proper storage areaInitiate new methods, tools or setup procedures to increase productivity of departmentIdentify opportunities to remove waste as part of Continuous Improvement activities.
