Power BI Developer

We are seeking a Power BI Developer to design and build impactful dashboards and visualizations across Power BI and Snowflake, transforming data into actionable insights for business stakeholders. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, with the potential to convert to a full-time role based on performance and fit.This role is based on-site in Boca Raton, FL, with occasional flexibility. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate.You will partner with business stakeholders and a small IT/data team to understand reporting needs, model data, and deliver polished, high-performance dashboards using Power BI and Snowflake’s Snowsight.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for stakeholders across the businessBuild Snowsight visualizations and dashboards directly against Snowflake dataPartner with business users to gather reporting requirements and translate them into clear, intuitive dashboardsDevelop and optimize SQL queries, views, and data models in Snowflake to support reporting needsEnsure dashboards are performant, accurate, and aligned with data governance and security standardsTroubleshoot data discrepancies and collaborate with source system owners to resolve root causesDocument data sources, metric definitions, and dashboard logic for long-term maintainabilityContribute to continuous improvement of BI tools, reporting practices, and data visualization standardsRequired Qualifications4+ years of experience developing BI dashboards and visualizations in a business environmentStrong hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX and Power Query (M)Experience building visualizations in SnowsightStrong SQL skills with experience writing optimized queries in Snowflake or similar cloud data warehousesSolid understanding of data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schemas, fact/dimension design)Experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirementsStrong communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiencesHighly organized with strong attention to detailAvailable to start on a contract basis with openness to conversion to full-time employmentAbility to work primarily on-site in Boca Raton, FLNice to HaveExperience with Snowflake ecosystem tools (roles, warehouses, performance tuning, Snowpipe, Streams/Tasks)Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or other modern ETL/ELT toolsExperience implementing row-level security and role-based access in Power BI
