Surgical Tech Location: Northridge, CA Agency: Jackson HealthPros Pay: $1,509 to $1,709 per week Shift Information: Evenings - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/19/2026 About the Position Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team. Minimum Requirements: Current Certified Surgical Technologist credential through NBSTSA (CST) required. BLS Certification required. Minimum 2 years' experience as a surgical technologist in an operating room setting with documented experience in general, orthopedic, and trauma cases. Experience with robotics (Da Vinci), neuro, vascular, ENT, gyn, urology preferred. Experience with Cerner (Surginet) charting system preferred. Experience in high-volume OR environments. Facility reports an average of ~14 cases per day across 12 general OR suites, plus CVOR and hybrid rooms. Candidates must be comfortable with call requirements. Weekday call frequency for CSTs is typically 4–8 times per 4-week schedule and is self-scheduled; call response time is 30 minutes. Travel experience preferred. Orientation: approximately 2–3 shifts on unit (floor-specific) and up to 12 orientation hours noted by client. For CVOR-specific roles, 2 years' CVOR experience required. Preferred: familiarity with sterile processing equipment and processes (STERIS, STERRAD) is beneficial for cross-discipline roles; certification requirements apply for sterile processing positions (IAHCSMM or CBSPD) and two years' experience for those roles. Case Mix: Orthopedics (total joints), trauma, gynecology, urology, ENT, general, plastics, vascular, neuro, robotics; CVOR procedures exist but travelers will not be required to perform CVOR unless specified in requisition.
