This sub-separate program supports students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related communication and sensory needs within a school community that values neurodiversity, inclusion, and individualized student growth.The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge and experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)-based instructional practices, proactive behavioral supports, and evidence-based strategies for students with communication and sensory regulation challenges. This educator will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide highly structured, engaging, and compassionate instruction that promotes communication, independence, social-emotional development, and access to the general education environment whenever appropriate.Responsibilities:Develop and implement individualized, data-driven instruction aligned with student IEP goalsDevelop individualized program books when appropriateUtilize ABA methodologies and evidence-based practices to support academic, communication, behavioral, and social-emotional growthCreate proactive classroom systems that address sensory and communication-based behavioral needsCollaborate closely with BCBAs, ABA support staff, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, related service providers, and familiesFoster meaningful inclusion opportunities and participation within the broader school communityCollect and analyze student data to inform instruction and monitor progressMaintain a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment that embraces neurodiversity and student strengthsParticipate actively in team meetings, consultation, and ongoing professional learning opportunitiesQualifications:Massachusetts DESE licensure in Moderate Disabilities PreK-8 or Severe Disabilities All LevelsExperience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a sub-separate or therapeutic educational setting preferredKnowledge of ABA principles, discrete trial instruction, naturalistic teaching strategies, and positive behavioral supportsExperience addressing behaviors related to communication and sensory regulation challengesStrong collaboration, communication, and organizational skillsCommitment to inclusive practices and family-centered collaborationWhat Weymouth Public Schools Offers:Supportive leadership and collaborative team environmentMentorship opportunities for professional growthOngoing professional development and training opportunitiesTuition reimbursementExcellent benefits packageCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceWessagusset Primary School is committed to building an inclusive educational community where all students are valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
