This is a remote position. As an Account Investigator on the Refunds Team, you will be responsible for timely resolution of credit balances by analyzing patient accounts for needed refund or adjustment to patient or insurance carriers.What you’ll do:Extensive investigations into patient accounts that may or may not require refund(s)Utilize knowledge of all carrier types, including commercial and governmentalApply your high-level understanding of medical accounts receivable, using attention to detail and problem-solving skillsOther duties as assignedWhat you’ll bring to Zotec:High School diploma or equivalent requiredAbility to understand, analyze and interpret medical billing documentation and dataPhysician billing experience in one or more of the following areas: AR, Refunds, or PaymentsStrong organizational and interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to understand critical issues and bring appropriate resolution through problem solving and attention to detailAbility to prioritize workload and meet specific goals and objectivesProfessional exercises discretion and independent judgment in day-to-day workMust be able to collaborate effectively within a team setting
