Job ResponsibilitiesConduct legal research on complex matters.Create reports and documents for attorneys.Assist in, and in less complex cases are responsible for, the preparation, summarization and interpretation of legal documents and pleadings.Assist attorneys with writing briefs, pleadings and other legal documents.Monitor major changes to laws and guidelines or regulations.Organize and track case files.Uses existing files and a variety of other legal research resources to prepare information for pending cases.Identify relevant judicial decisions, statutes, legal articles, codes and other pertinent materials.Evaluate information related to legal matters in public or personal records.Review contracts and documents to determine relevancy; this may require looking through dated records and binders to find contracts and other related documentation.Critically analyze and evaluate claims to determine if they meet the criteria of a prevailing wage claim, whether it is defensible, partially defensible, or liability exists). Draft briefs and motions using templates.
