Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support the Enterprise Contact Center (ECC) platform by building scalable data ingestion pipelines and delivering trusted data products within Snowflake. In this role, you will be responsible for ingesting contact center data from platforms such as Genesys into Snowflake, transforming raw data into curated datasets, and enabling downstream reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives.
This is a remote contract opportunity supporting an enterprise-scale data platform. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Snowflake, SQL, AWS, and data integration, along with experience working in Agile environments and building modern cloud-based data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Ingestion & Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest contact center data from Genesys and other enterprise platforms into Snowflake using AWS S3, APIs, and batch processing.
Snowflake Data Engineering: Develop and optimize Snowflake tables, views, and curated data products that support Power BI reporting, downstream consumers, and enterprise analytics initiatives.
Data Transformation: Convert raw data into business-ready datasets while implementing efficient data models, reusable views, and optimized SQL queries for high-performance reporting.
Cloud & Integration Solutions: Leverage AWS services and modern integration patterns to onboard new data sources, automate ingestion workflows, and improve data availability.
Data Quality & Governance: Implement validation checks, troubleshoot data issues, monitor pipeline health, and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with enterprise governance standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders, Power BI developers, and cross-functional engineering teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
Platform Optimization: Monitor and optimize Snowflake performance, automate scheduling and orchestration processes, and support production deployments and ongoing platform reliability.
Agile Delivery: Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies while contributing to the continuous enhancement of the Enterprise Contact Center data platform.
Qualifications:
7–10+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including tables, views, query optimization, and performance tuning.
Advanced SQL skills with experience developing complex transformations and data models.
Experience designing and building scalable ETL/ELT and data ingestion pipelines.
Strong experience with AWS, including cloud storage and data integration services.
Experience integrating data from enterprise applications or APIs, including file-based and API-driven ingestion.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Preferred Experience:
Experience working with Genesys or other contact center platforms such as Avaya, NICE, Dynamics, or IVR systems.
Familiarity with Data Mesh and modern data product architectures.
Experience supporting Power BI or Tableau reporting environments.
Knowledge of orchestration tools such as Airflow or Snowflake Tasks.
Exposure to AI, analytics enablement, APIs, or semantic data layers.
Experience building enterprise-scale data platforms supporting multiple downstream consumers.
Why Join Us:
This is an exciting opportunity to help build the data foundation for a large-scale Enterprise Contact Center transformation. You'll play a key role in designing scalable data ingestion pipelines, creating trusted Snowflake data products, and enabling reporting and AI capabilities across the organization. Working alongside a collaborative engineering team, you'll have the opportunity to make a direct impact on an enterprise platform while leveraging modern cloud technologies including Snowflake, AWS, and Genesys.
