DevOps Infrastructure EngineerLocation: Dallas, TexasDuration: 1 year contractPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in designing, transitioning and deploying of applications to various cloudsResponsible for leading and guiding the team during multiple phases of Projects & collaborating with multiple teamsResponsible for developing and implementing a timeline for team to reach end goalDevelop tools and framework to improve operational efficiency and anomaly detectionDesign and operate the environment to test application resiliency to infrastructure instabilitiesProactively monitor, identify, and escalate issues or root causes of systemic issuesEnable data scientists, business and product partners to fully leverage our platformFollows the industry trends in the online worldMinimum QualificationsBS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 12+ years experienceExperience in 24x7 operations, overseeing sites with constant high trafficExperience in Kubernetes orchestration and DockersExperience in bootstrap production and non-prod environments in public/private cloudsExperience with CI/CD and related tools (e.g. Git, Gerrit, GitHub, Maven, Ant, Jenkins) in Dev, QA, Staging, and Prod environmentsExtensive experience with Linux, particularly RedHat/CentOS, SSH, DNS, etc.Experience with setting up monitoring and alerting tools, e.g. Prometheus, PagerDuty, Splunk, ElasticsearchUnderstand the metric requirements of system/application healthExperience with setting up, configuring, and managing RDBMS and data stores such as Solr, Casandra, etc.Experience writing and maintaining tools and scripts to support automation and operations, e.g. Unix Shell scripts, Ansible, Terraform etc.Solid knowledge of Unix systems with the ability to troubleshoot issues in complex, distributed, multi-tier architectures.Worked in SaaS/PaaS companies as DevOps/Infrastructure engineerPassionate about operational excellence and documentationGood written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in Leading and Managing TeamsExperience with public cloud. In particular Google Cloud and/or Azure.
