Technical Program ManagerPosition Details:Location: Vernon \ Los Angels, CA (Hybrid Remote or Remote)Type: Contract or Contract To hire possible$90-110 w2 per hourRole OverviewClient seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives across Forgent’s enterprise environment. This role will be responsible for driving large-scale business and technology programs spanning Finance, Commercial, Operations and IT portfolios, ensuring successful delivery of strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, standardization, and scalability across the organization. This individual must be a hands-on, execution-focused leader who can independently drive programs forward, align diverse stakeholder groups, and ensure measurable business outcomes. Must haves:8+ years of experience leading IT projects/programs in complex enterprise environmentsProven experience delivering cross-functional transformation initiativesExperience with ERP, quoting/order management, finance systems, or AP automation platforms (e.g., Coupa)Strong background working across multiple business functions (Finance, Commercial, Operations) Initial Focus Areas / Key ProgramsThe selected candidate will immediately lead the following high-priority initiatives:Sales Propel – Quoting Platform TransformationBuild and deploy new quoting capabilities for the Solutions businessStandardize and unify Opportunity-to-Order processes across Forgent entitiesIntegrate with ERP, CRM, and downstream order management systemsDrive alignment across Commercial, Operations, and IT teamsAP Automation & Standardization (Coupa Implementation)Lead implementation of AP automation platform (Coupa)Standardize Accounts Payable processes across multiple entitiesReduce manual invoice handling and improve financial controlsCoordinate Finance, IT, and vendor stakeholders to ensure adoption and compliance Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership & ExecutionOwn end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional IT and business programsDevelop and drive program execution plans, timelines, dependencies, and milestonesEnsure alignment between business objectives, IT strategy, and program deliverablesAct as the primary accountable leader for program successCross-Functional LeadershipDrive alignment across Finance, Commercial, Operations, and IT teamsPartner with Business Process Owners (BPOs), functional leaders, and executivesNavigate complex organizational dynamics to move initiatives forwardInfluence stakeholders and resolve conflicts to maintain progressExecution Discipline & DeliveryProactively identify and remove blockers to keep programs on trackDrive accountability across teams and vendorsEnsure structured execution of key phases: discovery, design, build, test, deploymentMaintain focus on delivering business outcomes—not just technical completionStakeholder Communication & Executive EngagementProvide clear, concise updates to senior leadership and executive stakeholdersTranslate complex technical and operational topics into business-relevant insightsFacilitate decision-making by presenting trade-offs, risks, and recommendationsFinancial & Vendor ManagementManage program budgets, forecasts, and vendor deliverablesEnsure alignment with financial targets and cost control expectationsCoordinate with vendors and system integrators to ensure performance and deliveryRisk, Issue, & Change ManagementIdentify, assess, and proactively manage risks and dependenciesLead issue resolution with urgency and clarityManage scope changes and ensure alignment across stakeholdersChange Management & AdoptionEnsure strong business adoption of new systems and processesCoordinate training, communication, and transition planningDrive accountability for post-implementation success Required Experience8+ years of experience leading IT projects/programs in complex enterprise environmentsProven experience delivering cross-functional transformation initiativesExperience with ERP, quoting/order management, finance systems, or AP automation platforms (e.g., Coupa)Strong background working across multiple business functions (Finance, Commercial, Operations)Demonstrated ability to lead programs involving process standardization and system implementationExperience managing vendors, system integrators, and external partnersStrong executive communication and stakeholder management skills Core CompetenciesStrong execution mindset with ability to drive resultsAbility to lead through influence in a matrixed organizationExcellent communication and presentation skillsHigh accountability and ownership mentalityStrong problem-solving and decision-making capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Tools & MethodologiesExperience with Excel, Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, or similar toolsFamiliarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models Work EnvironmentHybrid / Remote with 10–20% travel (including U.S. and Mexico locations as needed)Blackstone Talent Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Blackstone Technology Group, a global IT services and software firm that implements technological solutions across commercial industry verticals and the US Federal Government.
