Java J2EE Developer

Overview In this role you will design and deliver Java J2EE-based solutions, shaping scalable, high-performance distributed applications. You will work within a Global delivery context to translate business needs into robust technical designs, collaborating across teams to ensure quality and maintainability. You will focus on API development, security, and performance, driving engineering best practices. This is an opportunity to impact complex systems and software delivery at scale. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain Java J2EE applications across the software lifecycleDesign API endpoints using REST, Spring, Jersey, Hibernate; leverage SQLEnsure multi-threaded, scalable, and secure architecturesWork with Tomcat or equivalent application serversImplement API authentication (OAuth2) and tooling (Swagger, RAML)Conduct unit testing and code reviews; support development and maintenance projectsTranslate business requirements into technical solutions; contribute to design reviews Key requirements4+ years in Java J2EE and software development life cycle3+ years in project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects3+ years in API development with Java, REST, Spring, Jersey, Hibernate, SQL3+ years in Tomcat or other major application servers2+ years in OAuth2 or similar API authentication2+ years in API tooling like Swagger or RAML, with unit testing and code reviewExperience designing multi-threaded, scalable, secure distributed applicationsStrong analytical skills and ability to translate requirements into technical solutionsGood written and verbal communication; experience in a global delivery environmentBachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent; progressive experience considered in lieu of educationStrong analytical skillsGood written and verbal communicationAbility to work in a global delivery environmentJava J2EERESTSpring
