In general, the Per Diem Weekend OR/PACU RN is responsible for:Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problemsPerform initial preoperative assessment, develop a plan of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgeryProvide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family membersDemonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedationAdminister medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directedProvide patient educationWhat You'll BringWe're looking for professionals who bring both technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility to the care experience-individuals who thrive in environments where excellence, empathy, and accountability matter.Qualifications and Skills Include:Active RN licenseCurrent BLS and ACLS certifications2-3 years of clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferredProficiency with IV's requiredStrong technical and clinical assessment skillsAbility to access, input, and retrieve information from a computerAbility to work independently and demonstrate good judgmentAbility to communicate accurately and conciselyMore important than any single credential, however, is the right person.
