Assistant Controller | Division AccountingI am partnering with an established organization in North Austin that is adding an Assistant Controller to support accounting and financial reporting for one of its operating divisions.This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of a division’s accounting function while still having support from an experienced accounting leadership team. The role is hands on, operationally connected, and built for someone who wants to grow into broader finance leadership over time.Why this role is worth a conversation• Opportunity to own accounting for a full operating division• Direct partnership with operations and accounting leadership• Strong path toward broader Controller level responsibility• Stable company with a practical, hands on accounting environment• Work that goes beyond routine close tasks and ties directly to business performanceWhat you will be doing• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate accounting records• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and month end close deliverables• Produce internal financial statements and management reports• Support inventory accounting, cost analysis, and variance review• Maintain schedules for prepaids, accruals, and balance sheet accounts• Support audit preparation and financial reviews• Work with operations leadership on accounting and reporting needs• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reportingWhat they are looking for• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting• Manufacturing or construction accounting experience• Strong general ledger and month end close experience• Exposure to inventory, cost analysis, or variance analysis• Strong Excel and analytical skills• Someone detail oriented, accountable, and motivated to grow into leadershipThis is best aligned for someone currently in a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Division Accountant, Cost Accountant, or Plant Accountant type role who is ready for more ownership.
