Secretary I

Job Description This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered.A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.The Secretary I provides entry-level to intermediate administrative and clerical support in a professional office environment. The role focuses on routine clerical tasks, document preparation, and basic office coordination using standard DMDC/DHRA software tools and established business processes.Compensation & BenefitsEstimated Salary range for Secretary I : $22-$24/ hourPay commensurate with experience.Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.ResponsibilitiesSecretary I Responsibilities Include:Perform general clerical duties including word processing, filing, copying, scanning, and document storagePrepare routine correspondence, memoranda, briefings, and reportsReceive, screen, and route telephone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiriesManage incoming and outgoing mail, including distribution and trackingMaintain electronic and hardcopy filing systems in accordance with records management requirementsEnter, update, and retrieve data using government systems and task management toolsSchedule meetings and maintain calendars as directedUse standard DMDC/DHRA software tools to complete assigned tasksFollow established policies, procedures, and security guidelinesPerforms other job-related duties as assignedSkills Secretary I Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:High school diploma or GED requiredBasic administrative and clerical skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Basic document formatting and data entry skillsEffective written and verbal communicationTime management and organizational skillsAbility to follow detailed instructions and established proceduresAbility to manage routine tasks with accuracy and attention to detailAbility to work effectively in an office environment with minimal supervisionAbility to handle sensitive information with discretionMust pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee FederalCompany Information Cherokee Nation Defense Solutions (CNDS) is a part of Cherokee Federal the division of tribally owned federal contracting companies owned by Cherokee Nation Businesses.
