This position is for someone who can set up, operate, and inspect parts on CNC turning equipment in a job shop environment.Dagry is a precision machine shop in Owatonna, MN. We make a wide variety of parts, so this is a good fit for someone who likes variety, problem solving, and doing quality work instead of running the same part every day.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision machined partsRead and understand blueprints, drawings, and job instructionsInspect parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and other measuring toolsHold tight tolerances and maintain quality throughout productionMake tool offsets and minor program adjustments as neededChange inserts, tools, jaws, and fixturesWork with steel, stainless, aluminum, plastics, and other common materialsIdentify issues with tooling, programs, setups, or part qualityKeep work area clean and organizedPerform basic machine maintenance as neededWork with the team to improve setups, cycle times, and part qualityQualificationsCNC lathe experience requiredAbility to set up and operate CNC lathesAbility to read blueprints and use precision measuring toolsStrong attention to detailGood mechanical aptitudeBasic math skills, including decimals, fractions, and tolerancesAbility to work independently after trainingWillingness to learn and improveManual lathe experience is a plusMilling experience is a plusExperience with Fanuc-style controls is a plusExperience with live tooling, sub-spindle, or mill-turn machines is a plus, but not requiredWhat We OfferFull-time, steady workVariety of parts and setupsOpportunity to learn more advanced machiningSmall-shop team environmentCompetitive pay based on experienceBenefits availableScheduleFull-time, daytime schedule.PayPay is based on experience and skill level.About UsDagry is a family-owned precision machine shop located in Owatonna, MN.
