Project Manager

Job Title: Project ManagerJob DescriptionThe Project Manager will oversee a variety of complex projects funded through grants across Storey County. These projects include roofing, parking facilities, buildings, grading and drainages, roadways, sewer and water facilities, and other capital improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will manage 3-4 projects simultaneously.Responsibilities+ Oversee and manage a variety of complex projects in Storey County.+ Manage the Sheriff's substation improvement project, including the installation of jail cells.+ Lead the Gold Hill sewer plant piping replacement project.+ Supervise the lead siphon joint replacement project in Virginia City, ensuring safe water supply from Marlette Lake.+ Handle project management tasks including change orders, design, and project engineering.+ Coordinate and manage capital improvement projects with a focus on construction management.+ Conduct and oversee the RFP process and ensure project documentation control.Essential Skills+ 4-6 years of experience in project management.+ Strong construction management and project engineering skills.+ Experience with capital project management and improvement projects for buildings, grading, and drainage.+ Proficiency in handling roadways, sewer, and water facilities projects.+ Expertise in the RFP process and project coordination.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Self-motivated and able to work independently.+ Great work ethic and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Work EnvironmentThe office is located in Virginia City, approximately 25 minutes outside of Reno. The commute involves driving through Geiger Grade, a scenic but winding road. The role also requires travel to the USA Parkway, which houses major companies. This position is a consultant-to-hire role, offering a chance to work in a county known for its positive work culture.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia City, NV.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $39.00 - $50.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
