Accounts Payable Manager

An Investment Management Firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as an Accounts Payable Manager.Responsibilities:Oversee the full Accounts Payable function across multiple business entities and affiliated structuresManage invoice processing workflows, vendor communications, onboarding documentation, and approval coordinationAdminister employee expense reporting and corporate card activity through the company’s expense management platformCoordinate recurring payment cycles, including ACH and wire transactions through banking portalsEnsure accurate coding and allocation of expenses across departments, business units, and related entitiesPrepare internal and external invoicing as neededGenerate recurring reports, reconciliations, and analyses for senior finance leadershipSupport intercompany allocations, recharges, and expense tracking processesPerform general ledger reconciliations related to accounts payable and employee expensesManage monthly close activities associated with AP, including accruals and prepaid expensesCoordinate annual vendor tax reporting and related compliance processesAssist with year-end audit requests and supporting documentationIdentify and implement process improvements, operational efficiencies, and enhanced internal controlsSupport ad hoc accounting, finance, and operational projects as neededQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred5–15 years of Accounts Payable or corporate accounting experience, preferably within a complex or multi-entity environmentStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting functionsExperience with AP automation, expense management, and accounting systems preferredDemonstrated ability to manage high-volume workflows and oversee end-to-end AP processesStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while driving continuous improvement initiatives
