Embedded Software Application Engineer
Responsibilities
Support embedded software integration, deployment, and validation activities.
Investigate software and vehicle-level issues through debugging and root cause analysis.
Collaborate with software engineers, system architects, product teams, and validation teams to resolve complex technical issues.
Perform system-level troubleshooting involving vehicle electronics, sensors, diagnostics, and communication networks.
Support software configuration management, baselines, and release processes.
Analyze vehicle communication logs and system interactions using diagnostic tools.
Validate software functionality across different vehicle configurations and variants.
Document issues, findings, solutions, and technical recommendations.
Manage defects and track issue resolution using project management tools.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related field.
2-5 years of experience in automotive embedded systems, vehicle electronics, software integration, system validation, or ADAS development.
Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols:
CAN
Ethernet
LIN
UDS Diagnostics
Experience with analysis tools such as:
CANoe
CANalyzer
Vehicle Spy
Wireshark or similar tools
Experience with software configuration management, release processes, and software baselines.
Working knowledge of C/C++ and Python.
Experience with JIRA or similar defect tracking tools.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
