Work from the comfort of home on Mondays and Fridays and join the team in our welcoming office space on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for collaboration and connection.Position Summary:The Strategy and Analytics team at Red Oak is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to lead a wide variety of analytical projects that promote long-term innovation and help evangelize solutions and new technology to the broader organization. The position will work cross functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into problems to be solved using statistical modelling, machine learning, data visualization and process automation. The role will also serve as Red Oak's data science subject matter expert, guiding and training other analytics professionals to adopt Python based analytical solutions for data collection, web-scraping, data transformation, visualization and modelling.Responsibilities:AnalyticsAnalyze and interpret large volumes of structured and unstructured data to address complex business challengesDevelop and maintain datasets and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data, facilitating insight generation and reporting needsDesign statistical models and supply-chain KPIs to aid rapid and effective decision makingDefine and monitor model performance metrics, ensuring alignment with business impact over timeResearch and integrate new technologies to enhance existing solutions and address emerging challengesCommunication and CollaborationSupport change-management efforts to help the company adopt new data science approaches to decision makingCommunicate complex concepts to all levels of the organization (who have a wide range of backgrounds) clearly and effectivelyDesign dashboards and visualizations that clearly convey necessary information to the audienceAct as a data science thought leader in the organization, by staying current on technologies, methods, and toolsInternal Consulting & Executive PresentationsConduct research across the business functions to understand the Red Oak business and the generic pharmaceutical industryCreate presentations related to your work with graphical representation of data, and messaging tailored to executive level audienceUnderstand product and market changes and implications for Red Oak's strategyRequired Qualifications:1+ years of demonstrated experience in operations research, statistics or other data science related rolesA graduate degree in a quantitative field like data science, applied analytics, operation research, mathematics, engineering, etc. strongly preferredAdvanced proficiency in Python and common data science analytics packages (NumPy, SciPy, pandas, sklearn, pytorch etc.)Experience working with large datasets, analyzing data, and extracting meaningful insightsExperience using applied statistics and machine learning techniques, including supervised, unsupervised, and deep learningKnowledge of or experience in causal inference, and machine learning algorithmsExperience querying databases with SQL and a strong understanding of relational databasesSkilled in at least one visualization tool (like Tableau) with and an ability to design impactful visualsAbility to work and communicate with variety of stakeholders, particularly senior executivesExperience with web scrapingExcellent communication and presentation skills and attention to detailAn obsession with learning, problem solving and teachingThe Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $67,000.00 - $108,000.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
