American Traveler is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Radiology TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalStart Date: 05/25/2026Duration: 12 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelAssignment OverviewShift: Days, 5x8hrsHours: 40 hrs/wkStart Date: May25, 2026Length: 12 weeksOpenings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of acute or surgical experience for a travel assignment at a Level III Trauma Center in Milwaukee, WI.DetailsWork in a hospital-based radiology department at a 636-bed Level III Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility in Milwaukee, WIDepartment includes 5 diagnostic rooms, 2 fluoro rooms, 1 video swallow room, 2 clinic diagnostic rooms, 3 pain clinic rooms, and 1 dental roomPatient population includes inpatient, outpatient, ED, and procedural cases across all age ranges, with some pediatric patientsAverage caseload of 15–20 patients per tech per dayProcedures include fluoroscopy (ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic procedures, urology cases), OR cases (ortho, general, spine), portables, and general radiologyEquipment includes GE, Fuji, and Del Medical X-ray systems; GE 9900 and Elite C-arms; Medtronic O-arms; and McKesson PACSEMR: Epic (experience required)8-hour day shifts with flexible start times typically ranging from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AMSchedule follows a Monday–Friday rotation with every other weekend; one weekday off the week leading into a work weekend and one weekday off the following weekOne on-call shift per week with call windows: 6:30 AM–2:00 PM, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, or 10:30 PM–6:30 AMOne holiday shift required per contractNo floating requiredRequirementsMinimum of 2 years of acute or surgical radiology experience, with most recent experience within the last yearActive ARRT certification and WI license required (license required if applicable)Current BLS requiredProficiency in surgical/procedure imaging, general radiology, and portable X-rayFluoroscopy experience required, including ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic procedures, and urology casesOR imaging experience required, including ortho, general, and spine cases; comfort with O-arm preferredMid-to-high level acute care hospital experience requiredEpic EMR experience requiredMinimum 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the last yearMust provide date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for considerationMust provide middle name or initial for considerationAdditional InformationRadiologist on site 24/7, along with RT, hospitalist, and intensivist coverage around the clockLead tech present on first shift; department staffed with 14 techs on days, 7 on second shift, and 3 on third shiftOrientation includes facility NEO followed by 7 days of department-specific trainingFast-paced unit with high patient acuitySurgery scrubs provided by the facilityFree parking available on siteFirst-time travelers may be considered depending on demonstrated surgical and procedural skill levelFormer employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible for a travel assignmentLocal candidates are accepted at the same rate; no radius restrictions applyAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-702331.
