Hotel General Manager

Apply now if you're ready for a new challenge!Responsibilities:Design a budget that guarantees customer satisfaction and quality of services while keeping expenses controlled and profit margins maximizedDevise the cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel's rooms, public areas, and grounds in order to cultivate a reputation for qualitySpearhead and develop an effective marketing strategy to promote the hotel services and other offeringsGuide the leaders of each hotel department in developing goals, objectives, and a plan of action for achieving themProvide the vision, leadership, and strategy that inspires your staff to deliver exceptional guest service that drives financial successOpening Leadership & Brand ReadinessLead all Hilton readiness, pre‐opening, and activation callsKeep the hotel aligned with Hilton's deadlines, deliverables, and critical path milestonesEnsure all systems, tools, and processes are installed, tested, and ready for day oneOperational ExcellenceImplement Hilton systems, brand standards, and operating proceduresTrain and develop department leaders to build consistent habits and high‐performance routinesEstablish a culture of accountability, service, and continuous improvementMaintain a safe, compliant, and fully prepared environment for guests and team membersCommercial Strategy & Revenue Ramp‐UpPartner with Structure Hospitality's revenue and sales leaders to execute the opening commercial planSupport pricing, restrictions, demand forecasting, and the 90‐day ramp‐up strategyDrive local sales outreach, account development, RFP submissions, and brand channel optimizationMonitor weekly performance and adjust tactics to accelerate market penetrationTeam Building & LeadershipRecruit, hire, onboard, and train the entire hotel teamSet expectations early, coach decisively, and develop leaders, not passengersBuild a culture where people take pride in their work and support each otherProperty Readiness & ComplianceManage punch lists for guestrooms, public areas, back‐of‐house, and life‐safety systemsCoordinate inspections, permits, and approvals required for openingEnsure the hotel is brand‐ready, guest‐ready, and team‐ready on opening dayFinancial & Administrative ManagementOversee budgeting, forecasting, labor planning, and cost controlsProtect hotel assets and ensure accurate reporting and cash handlingManage vendor relationships and purchasing aligned with brand standardsDrive profitability through disciplined execution and smart decision‐makingQualifications:This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer serviceDemonstrate excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skillsYou must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED; we prefer a degree in hospitality or related field of study5+ years of experience working in a hotel or the hospitality industry requiredPrevious experience as a hotel manager, assistant manager, or hotel department manager requiredRequiredProven experience as a Hotel General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a branded, select‐service, or extended‐stay hotelDemonstrated success leading teams, driving performance, and maintaining high standardsStrong understanding of hotel operations, revenue management fundamentals, and sales processesExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines, details, and multiple prioritiesStrong communication, leadership presence, and decision‐making abilityHigh integrity, sound judgment, and a calm, steady approach under pressureAbility to recruit, train, and develop a high‐performing teamPreferredPrevious experience opening a new hotel or leading major transitionsHilton brand experience, especially with Home2 Suites or extended‐stay productsFamiliarity with Hilton systems (OnQ, GRO, R&I, etc.)Experience working with third‐party hotel management companiesStrong local market knowledge or experience in similar marketsAbout Company:The Home2 Suites by Hilton Logan is a brand‐new, 104‐room extended‐stay hotel opening in May 2026. Designed for modern, long‐stay travelers, the property will feature spacious suites, in‐room kitchens, a fitness and laundry center, and the vibrant, flexible spaces that define the Home2 brand. Located in a growing market with strong business, university, and leisure demand, this hotel is positioned for long‐term success from day one.The property will be operated by Structure Hospitality, a hotel management company based in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. Structure Hospitality specializes in select‐service and extended‐stay hotels, with a hands‐on approach to operations, revenue management, and sales. As the General Manager, you will work closely with their leadership team and benefit from proven systems, tools, and support—while still owning the daily execution and culture of the hotel.
