This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to maintain product integrity and support continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires strong attention to detail and adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.ResponsibilitiesCollect samples from various process systems, raw materials, and finished products for routine and non-routine testingPerform microbiological and related laboratory testing according to established procedures and documented methodsPrepare reagents, standards, controls, and testing media required for laboratory analysesConduct method suitability and validation testing, documenting and reporting results accuratelyPerform growth promotion testing for both purchased and internally prepared testing mediaAnalyze and interpret test results while upholding data integrity and GLP principlesCollect environmental samples and conduct aseptic sampling procedures to support process monitoring programsPerform basic organism identification using standard laboratory techniquesPrepare laboratory investigation reports, excursion documentation, and non-conformance evaluationsCoordinate sample preparation and shipment to external contract laboratories as neededMaintain the cleanliness, organization, and proper functioning of the laboratory environmentFollow all applicable regulatory guidelines and internal quality systemsPerform general laboratory calculations including dilutions, proportions, and percentagesUtilize computer applications and laboratory information management systems (LIMS) to record and manage dataComplete additional support duties as assignedRequired Experience/SkillsBachelor’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field from an accredited institution1–2 years of professional laboratory experience in a biological or microbiological labExperience in a GMP or FDA-regulated facilityProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocolsPreferred Experience/SkillsFamiliarity with environmental monitoring programsKnowledge of aseptic techniques and contamination control practicesExperience with laboratory investigations and non-conformance documentationUnderstanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and data integrity principlesAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentEducation RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, or a related disciplineCoursework in microbiology, biochemistry, and laboratory techniques preferredAdditional certifications in quality or microbiology are a plusBenefitsIf eligible under the ACA, medical, dental and vision benefits and time off in accordance with local paid sick time laws will be offered.
