Description & RequirementsThe Private Equity Value Creation team accelerates operational and financial performance across portfolio companies through targeted, execution-focused transformation. From optimizing accounting processes to enhancing the use of financial systems and data, the team helps companies scale efficiently and unlock measurable value. By combining deep finance operations expertise with technology-enabled solutions and hands-on implementation, the group improves cash flow, strengthens controls, and drives sustainable profitability-delivering results aligned to each fund's value-creation thesis.What You Will DoSupport delivery of value-creation initiatives for private equity clients by managing day-to-day workstream execution and ensuring high-quality deliverables that drive finance and accounting process improvementsTranslate value-creation objectives into actionable steps, leveraging strong knowledge of P2P, O2C, and C2R/R2R processes and identifying opportunities to enhance workflows through technologyEngage directly with clients, supporting communication, gathering requirements, and providing insights grounded in data and process analysisPerform financial and operational analyses, such as process diagnostics, KPI development, and Excel-based modeling to quantify improvement opportunitiesAssess and support optimization of financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage) to improve automation, controls, and scalabilityReview and refine workstream deliverables to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with client objectives and firm methodologiesContribute to practice development, including building tools, templates, and methodologies that enhance efficiency and delivery qualityAssist with business development efforts by supporting proposals, creating analyses for pitches, and identifying follow-on opportunities within portfolio companiesSupport the execution and enhancement of month-end close processes, including cash-to-accrual and GAAP conversions for newly acquired or transitioning entitiesAssist in building and standardizing financial reporting packages, including board-ready monthly reporting, KPIs, and forecasting toolsContribute to the development and refinement of financial forecasts, budgets, and long-range models in support of investment thesis executionPrepare management- and lender-focused reporting materials, including technology assessment summaries and future-state roadmaps, under the guidance of engagement leadershipPartner with client finance teams to help implement best practices related to policy adherence, workflow discipline, and cross-functional collaborationApply financial reporting and accounting policy knowledge to support the design and documentation of processes and internal controls Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree 1+ year(s) of relevant experience in public accounting or industryProficiency in Microsoft Office SuitePreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Accounting, Finance, or BusinessCPA LicensePrior consulting experienceExperience with ERP systems, , , , ,About Forvis Mazars, LLPForvis Mazars, LLP is an independent member of Forvis Mazars Global, a leading global professional services network. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Non-exempt/hourly positions will be eligible for time and half pay for employees that work over 40 hours in a workweek. Benefits are eligibility-based and could include group health plan benefits, 401(K), bonuses, profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.
