Days Per Year: 226Min: $28,024Mid: $32,960JOB TITLE: Receptionist - Administration Bldg.REPORTS TO: Executive Director-Family EngagementWAGE/HOUR STATUS: NonexemptPAYGRADE: Para 3PRIMARY PURPOSE:The Receptionist will support the daily business activities of the building by answering telephones and greeting and directing guests. Assist with clerical duties as assigned.Spring ISD employees are expected to act with integrity, support and demonstrate our core values, communicate in a clear and respectful manner and seek to continuously improve self-performance and processes.QUALIFICATIONS:Required:High School Graduate/GED from an accredited institutionPreferred:Three years job-related experience Bilingual Special Knowledge/Skills:Strong verbal and interpersonal skillsAbility to use office equipment including telecommunication equipment and computerAbility to comprehend simple instructions and short correspondenceAbility to make judgments based on available informationProficiency in use of computer and computer applicationsMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Answer telecommunication system for the purpose of screening calls, transferring calls, responding to inquiries and/or taking messagesEvaluate situations for the purpose of taking appropriate action and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolutionMonitor building and parking area for the purpose of maintaining a safe facultyAssist Family and Community Engagement department as may be requiredGreet visitors and direct to proper locationsParticipate in staff development and faculty meetings as assigned.Perform all other duties as assignedWORKING CONDITIONS:The usual and customary methods of performing this job require the following: ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment efficiently and effectively with frequent interruptions. Job may require prolonged periods of time sitting, reaching and repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer.
